Update on PJ's weird issues

So the pediatrician isn't sure this is an allergy problem but Parker does have breathing issues intermittently. Benadryl still does the trick, mostly, and we just deal. I am sure someday we will get to the bottom of the cause but as of right now there is no clear answer to what is causing the issues. I kept a food diary for a while but nothing was consistent. So he is a mystery child kinda reminiscent of his two older brothers who both had there issues. Anyway, I just thought an update on this was needed.

Wow... time flies!!!

Ahh, the blog. My sister reminded me of this a few days ago and I thought I might want to update.
Things are going well right now. Brian had been on active duty for over two years when suddenly he wasn't anymore and we found ourselves with no "full time" employment. Scary! Especially with our car getting a new transmission, the holidays coming and our trip to Disneyworld already booked for January. We jumped on the computer right away and applied for every job Brian felt qualified for. A mere six weeks later he is starting a permanent job at Camp Williams. I am thankful for our everyday blessings! I am amazed at how many people are willing to help those in need and I am grateful for having such amazing people surrounding me!!!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I am really in a thankful mood. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus is my Savior and he loves me. I so thankful for my wonderful family!
Ok... so I will stop with the sappy stuff... Parker, or PJ is growing like crazy. Although he is still skinny. He runs and climbs like a mad child. He is eating all the time. He loves just about anything I let him put in his face. His newest trick is to throw away his own diapers. One day he just took it from me and walked it to the garbage. I was amazed that he wanted to do it. He doesn't like his toys as much as he likes the dishes in the kitchen. He loves making me wash extra dishes I swear.
Hunter is just getting so big. I can't believe he starts school next year. I am not quite ready to share him with the world. He is my "laughing place". He seriously says and does the funniest things all the time.
Jeremy is excelling in school. He assures me all the time that he is the smartest kid in his whole class. I think he is hilarious. As soon as his homework is done he leaves the house to go play with friends and generally I don't see him until dinner time.
Brian and I are preparing to get sealed in the temple. We are working on temple recommends right now. I am really happy we are getting to this place in our life. We are happier together today than we were on our wedding day. Being married seems to be easier all the time. Not that the problems of daily life are any easier but we are doing better at handling them together. I am really happy to say that my family is wonderful! (Not trying to brag either... it just feels good to let the world know).

Adventures in introducing new foods...

Parker has always loved to eat. He was one of those babies who eat every 2-3 hours even at night. Since we introduced baby food he has backed off to every 4 hours. Crazy... and he isn't even huge. He is 6 months and weighs 18lbs which is quite small for my kids. Anyway, wednesday I decided to try something a little more exciting than just cereal, veggies and fruits. After giving him some mixed veggies I gave him the baby version of dessert. It was a vanilla custard pudding with bananas. He eat some but didn't seem too interested so I put the rest in the fridge. Ten minutes later he was acting funny so I looked at him and his mouth was all swollen and he was acting like he couldn't breath. He kept choking and gagging. It was horrible. The look in his eyes was almost terror.
Mind you I was home alone without a car....
Not knowing whether to call 911 or not I was FREAKING out!!! So I called my mom, the RN, who basically knows how to handle any situation! She told me to give him benadryl. I fought the benadryl down and he got better after about 20 min. All in all it was about 45 mins of sheer terror for me!
So apparently Parker is allergic to something, not sure what though. I think it is the eggs but I am not possitive! SCARY!

Life as a "stay at home" mom

So for many reasons we decided to have me stop working. Well, I have gone down to only working one day a week. I am loving it. This is the first "real" week that I have only worked friday and I think it is great! My kids are actually really fun to hang out with!
Parker has been a challenge, but one of the best challenges of my life. He doesn't want anything to do with being a baby. He wants grown up food and he wants to get up and walk. He wants to be mobile. That is making things hard for me. He is already scooting around and he gets up on his knees like he is going to crawl.
Hunter started Primary and he is loving it. I was really worried about him sitting still that long but according to his teacher is his doing really well. He is always asking when he can go to "Hunter's school". He is also very insistant on going by his full name, and yes I mean First, middle and last. It is really funny cause I get scolded on almost a daily basis for calling him just Hunter.
Jeremy is doing well in school. He always gets high marks. He likes playing with friends and of course he loves video games. He really enjoys the Wii we got for Christmas. He is excited to get baptised this year.
I can't believe how grown my kids are... even the 5 month old. Brian is still working like a crazy person, bless him. He is such a good provider!
I am so grateful for my mother who is always so strong for me. I wouldn't be here today with out her help and guidance.
I am really loving staying home! I haven't gotten much done other than loving on my babies! It is really difficult to get things done with Parker and his demandingness. My life is really good right now even though the troubles are still there it just seems easier to take them at home.
I am thankful for my blessings.
